Road Signage Information for 2012

1. Colors In 2011 On Hill Events will be using colors for the Bear Lake Brawl Triathlon to help show transition areas. Blue for Swim. Green for Bike. Red for Run. If any of the course overlaps other areas of the course you will see either a colored sign or a colored ribbon to help direct you.

2. Many signs for turns and turn arounds will have volunteers directing racers. Not every turn can have a volunteer so many of the signs will be large bright signs. Our Bike and Run Course Inspectors will drive and verify all signs and volunteers one hour prior to starting the races. Essential signs will be hammered with a fence post into the ground.

3. Painted Streets for all turns and turn arounds. We will mark every mile with paint on bike and run. Look for a Dash and number on course (Example -15). Spray Chalk for all Transition Areas (Know the Transition Area in case rain Sprays off the chalk).

4. Volunteers at all Turn Arounds and protecting the transition area

5. Banner Signs for all Transition Areas.

6. More Fencing in the Transition Area and Half Run near Transition Area to protect against spectators.

7. Spectator Designated Areas. Tell your spectators your anticipated transitions to keep them out of the primary spectator area (near finish) until they know you will be in. It is not necessary to have spectators in the Spectator Finish Area until they know their runner is coming in.
