Swim Course 2.4 Miles (2 Laps) - This square or diamond shaped swim with four buoys. The first is the start of the swim and the end of the swim. Each buoy is about .3 Miles apart. Half does 1 laps on this swim and Full does 2 laps on the swim. This way we can provide a great deal of swim support for 2.4 Miles Total. Water temps have been around 62-65 degrees the last 3 years.
Bike Course 112 Miles (Two Laps) - This course exits out of Bear Lake Hot Springs right and heads South down Cisco Road on the East side of the lake. At Laketown riders make a right turn on the Highway near the gas station Mile 21 (Aid Station #1). Riders will head North towards Gardner City and continue on to St. Charles, Idaho (#2 aid station) and make a right turn. The bikes will go up 2.725 Miles and turn back around to St. Charles and turn around again at St. Charles and head to the finish this time passing the 2.725 mile turn around. In order to get the 56 miles for the course we needed to have this turn around. Riders will have access to the transition area with a bathroom break or to pick up their relief bag. For the full the bikes will do this course twice to make the course 112 miles.
Aid Stations are Mile 21, 43.5, 56, 77, 99.5 (They include Bike Water Bottles with Electrolyte, Water, bathrooms)
Run Course 26.2 Miles (Two Laps)- This course is out and back. It leaves the Bear Lake Hot Springs and heads West towards St. Charles running with traffic and at mile 6.55 the runners turn around and stay against traffic heading East. They do this run two times to give them 26.2 miles total.
Aid Stations are 1.6375 Miles apart and they are as follows: Start, Mile 1.63, 3.27, 4.91, 6.55, 8.18, 9.82, 11.46, 13.1, 14.73, 16.37, 18.01, 19.65, 21.28, 22.92, 24.56
Aid Stations have an assortment of Gels, Granola Bars, Candy, Oranges, Bananas, water, electrolyte and more.
Finish Line - Includes Two Hot Soups, Bread, Ice Cream, Peanut Butter, Oranges, Bananas. Also Bear Lake Hot Springs has all sorts of food you can purchase for your family or racers.
